Ajay Devgn Once Want Quit Acting: Ajay Devgan is one of the most talented actors of Bollywood. The actor has always been very dedicated towards his work. Describing himself as a workaholic, Ajay Devgan told that within two days of going on vacation with the family, he starts feeling restless and wants nothing more than to go back to work. At peak, when he was doing more than half a dozen films at the same time, he wanted to give up his acting career completely.
Ajay used to do 14-15 films at a time in the 90s
While attending the recently held Critics Choice Awards 2023, Ajay said that this was the only time in his career when he fell in love with films. When asked how he has maintained an ‘appetite’ for so many years, Ajay said it is ‘innate’. On being asked whether the ‘hunger’ has ever decreased.
To this the actor said, “It is done. To be honest, there was a point in my life in the 90s… today we do only one film at a time, at that time we used to do 14-15 films at a time. We used to do four shifts and used to do shifts of five to six hours. We used to go to work at 7 in the morning. Used to shoot on one set till around 12 o’clock and went to another set in the same jeans. We just used to change jackets or shirts and used to shoot for four-five hours.
Ajay Devgan wanted to stop at one point
When asked if he remembers which character he was playing, Ajay laughed and said, “No, how many times have we forgotten. And if you look at those films, most of us actors have that in every film. I would have the same pair of shoes and jeans because we were too lazy to change them. You’re working from 7 in the morning until 3-4 the next morning and sometimes it was just going from one studio to the next. Go there , crash for two hours, and start working again. I just reached a point where I wanted to stop. I wasn’t enjoying my work.”
When did Ajay Devgan want to leave acting
Ajay recalled that the guild had implemented a rule at that time as actors were doing a lot of films. That’s why it was decided that no actor would shoot more than 12 films at a time. He said, “That was the point where I felt I didn’t want to work anymore, and I stopped doing it. I started doing two or three films a year. That was the only phase. Otherwise I had to go to work. Feels good. If I don’t have anything for two days, I don’t know what to do with myself.”

Please tell that Ajay’s last film was the action-thriller ‘Bhola’. He also directed this film. The film received mixed reviews and earned over Rs 100 crore at the global box office. Ajay will soon be seen in ‘Maidan’.
